As part of the 75th anniversary celebration of the Gustav Klein company from Schongau, a raffle was held in aid of six-year-old Amelie. The donation of 2,000 euros was handed over to Amelie and her mum Sabine Weith in a festive setting.
Amelie, who suffers from the rare and currently incurable Rett syndrome, a genetic developmental disorder, was visibly moved by the donation result, as was her mum. The donation will support the planned dolphin therapy in Curacao. This measure is not financed by the health insurance fund. It is very important to Sabine Weith that the therapy not only helps Amelie, but also that the animals are kept in a species-appropriate way. The family visited the facility as early as spring 2021 and the resulting further developments of Amelie were remarkable.
Heinrich Schmid, the head of quality management, together with other members of the Gustav Klein organisation had the idea for this raffle. During the handover, he emphasised once again that he had been overwhelmed by the joy of the guests’ donations. Numerous guests donated generously even without buying a raffle ticket.
Managing Director Günther Stensitzki rounded the amount up to an even sum.
