With great pleasure, the company Gustav Klein from Schongau presented a donation to the Astrid-Lindgren-Schule in Kempten. During a personal handover, it became clear how much shared commitment stood behind this support.
As early as December 19, the company hosted a festive Christmas celebration on its premises. In addition to culinary offerings and a warm, festive atmosphere, the main focus was on supporting a good cause. The “Christmas Angels” sold raffle tickets with great dedication. Many employees took part, and the management team generously rounded up the proceeds.
In advance, a survey was conducted among colleagues to identify a suitable donation recipient. The final decision was made in favor of the Astrid-Lindgren-Schule – not least because of a personal connection: Gerhard Seelos, an employee of the company, suggested the school as the beneficiary, as his son Paul attends the institution.
The donation comes at an important time for the Astrid-Lindgren-Schule. Due to a significant shortage of space, additional facilities are urgently needed. The daycare center Schwalbennest has therefore relocated, allowing the school to use its former premises. The newly available garden area of the former daycare center is now set to be redesigned. A barrier-free playground is planned so that all children – with and without disabilities – can play together.
During his visit, Managing Director Martin Dlauhy expressed how deeply impressed he was by the school’s work. He particularly highlighted the individualized support provided to the children, the high level of professional commitment, and the genuine warmth with which the children are guided and supported every day.
The school management expressed its sincere gratitude for the valuable support. The donation will help create even more opportunities for participation and development for the children.
