On August 16, 1948, history was made at Gustav Klein: The very first order – an “urgent” protective transformer with 220 / 12 volts – marked the beginning of a company that, over the following decades, would evolve into a globally recognized specialist in advanced energy solutions.
Seventy-seven years later, we look back with pride on our company’s journey. What began with a single order has grown into an international enterprise with three locations: our headquarters in Schongau (Im Forchet), a second site just minutes away on Greifenstraße (also in Schongau), and a third facility in Inzing, Tyrol.
To date, we have delivered over 400,000 systems to more than 105 countries around the world – a testament to the trust our customers place in our technologies and services. Whether in industrial settings, the railway sector, or in testing and simulation applications: our solutions are used wherever maximum availability and reliability are essential.
Despite decades of change and technological progress, one thing has remained constant: our passion for innovative energy solutions. As a family-owned company with deep regional roots, we have always stood for quality, sustainability, and close customer relationships.
